Can you believe that we are looking down the barrel of Week 4? Well, we are and what a fabulous start we have had! Walking around the spaces I am blown away by the way in which the students are engaging with each other and their teachers, it's like they have been in these groups for years. We are in such a positive place and our Opening School Liturgy and Year 6 Commissioning was an illustration of the sunshine shining in our community...
I hope you all had time to reflect on the past week and find the moments of JOY you encountered, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant. I truly believe that this Year of JOY, is teaching us all a very real lesson: JOY is not always easy to find, in fact, it is sometimes buried deep under a lot of rubbish, but is somehow always there, even in the least likely places, small but no less powerful!...
Last year was the year of HOPE, this year we have marked as the year of JOY! Pope Francis said during my pilgrimage in 2018: “See God with your heart”, this year I would like to encourage us all to work together to see God with our hearts in order to endeavour to see God in ALL things - to find the JOY (God) in ALL things, to BE the JOY in all things!” ....
